Who is already enjoying the benefits of solar?
Many schools have partnered with Solgen Energy under the National Solar Schools Program. Here are some of our installations and what our clients have to say about us;
REDLANDS - LARGEST SOLAR INSTALLATION AT AN AUSTRALIAN SCHOOL
Redlands, a leading independent school situated in Cremorne on Sydney's Lower North Shore, regards environmental education and sustainability as key features of the school's commitment to developing young people who can contribute to the world of tomorrow. The Pre-School to Year 12 co-educational school has implemented a ‘Greening Redlands' program, driven through teachers, students and parents, which has made significant steps towards environmental sustainability.
"Solgen Energy's professional staff provided Redlands with honest advice and quality customer service throughout the entire process. They made it easy for us to achieve immediate benefits including reduced energy costs and the prevention of greenhouse gas emissions, and also the opportunity to educate a new generation of climate change savvy future leaders."
David Lamb, Chief Operating Officer, Redlands
MAMRE ANGLICAN SCHOOL - HOPPING INTO GREEN ENERGY
The kangaroos are happily grazing and homestead-like buildings are dotted around an expansive bush landscape, yet what appears to be a rural retreat is actually a centre of high learning employing the latest in sustainable energy technologies.
"The Solgen Energy team made the installation of the system very straight forward, it was carried out very quickly, the team were very responsive and they worked in well with our school IT department."
Victor Branson, Head of Campus, Mamre Anglican School
NOWRA CHRISTIAN SCHOOL - CARING LOCALLY AND ACTING GLOBALLY
Caring for one another and for the environment, at a local and global level, are very much a part of Nowra Christian School's philosophy and approach. An intimate school of just 411 students ranging from Kindergarten to Year 12 located on eight, lush semi-rural hectares, Nowra Christian School is a unique school with a real sense of belonging to the community and the broader global environment.

ST AUGUSTINE'S PARISH PRIMARY SCHOOL - TURNING THE GOLD COAST GREEN
St Augustine's Parish Primary School was eager to take the next step in its program of environmental commitment, the National Solar Schools Program (NSSP) grant provided the school the impetus and an introduction to Solgen Energy made the installation "incredibly easy".
"Solgen Energy made the solar energy installation in our school a piece of cake. There was constant communication with the school, minimum disruption to our operations, and it has been a positive experience that the school and students are now reaping the benefits of."
Mrs Lynne Rohanna, Assistant Principal Administration, St Augustine's Parish Primary School
THE HILLS GRAMMAR SCHOOL - GREENING THE HILLS DISTRICT
Hills Grammar School, a co-educational and non-denominational K-12 school in Sydney's Hills District, has a philosophy of commitment to personal integrity and social responsibility, with environmental sustainability being a core value.
"From the outset, Solgen Energy presented as an efficient and professional company which responded obligingly to customer requests. Solgen Energy installed our solar panels well within the scheduled time and kept us informed of what was happening at each stage of the process. It was a pleasure to work with such a customer focused organisation."
Madeleine Borrey, Campus Manager, The Hills Grammar School
ST JOHN THE EVANGELIST HIGH SCHOOL - GROWING THE GREEN CREDENTIALS
For a school that shares its grounds with an abundant vegetable garden, egg-laying chooks and a never-to-be-eaten woolly sheep, it seemed only natural that it should be harnessing the sun's power to contribute to its thriving environment.
"Solgen Energy was professional from the start, they kept in touch with us through every step of the process and were happy to fit into our timetable, and they have continued to follow-up to ensure the system's operating at its optimum".
Debra Braund, Leader of Administration, St John the Evangelist High School
SILKWOOD STEINER SCHOOL - CONNECTED WITH THE ENVIRONMENT
Silkwood Steiner School, an independent, co-educational, non-denominational primary school of 280 children, is located in peaceful bushland in the hinterland of Queensland's Gold Coast. The school's connection with the environment is reflected not just in its location, but in its approach.
"Solgen Energy were a good team to work with. From the outset they were good communicators and continued their support after the installation, with quick responses to any queries we had."
Greg Gapp, Business Manager, Silkwood Steiner School
ST PETER'S ANGLICAN PRIMARY SCHOOL - GREENING OF THE "WHITE HOUSE"
St Peter's Anglican Primary School in Sydney's south-western suburbs has long been known for its historic White House, but recent environmental initiatives are creating a new, green identity for the school. The school, recognisable by its heritage-listed, 1887-built "White House" now restored and used as a performing arts centre, is becoming less identified for its white landmark and more for its green commitment.
"Solgen Energy did everything they said they would, promptly and within a schedule. The experience was positive, so much so that we hope to be able to employ Solgen Energy again."
Robbert Alderden, Deputy Headmaster, St Peter's Anglican Primary School.
NOWRA ANGLICAN COLLEGE - A STUDENT-LED GREEN REVOLUTION
A small group of environmentally-concerned students have initiated some big changes to their school community, tackling climate change and reducing their carbon footprint, with the recent introduction of a solar energy generation system.
"Solgen Energy was very easy to deal with. Given the fact that we are in a regional area, Solgen Energy were still keen to meet us on site and on our terms and were keen to put the best possible solution in place."
Andrew Guile, Business Manager, Nowra Anglican College
