Randwick switches on mega solar system

Randwick City Council flicked the switch today on the country's largest council-owned rooftop solar panel system at its works depot in Maroubra, in Sydney's east. The ambitious renewable energy project aims to provide nearly 60MW of electricity a year and encourage other councils to invest in clean energy.
